Tahun 2011 ini, Sony Ericsson mengenalkan smartphone sony ericsson android yang disebut dengan Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, smartphone ini dilengkapi dengan platform gingerbread(disebut juga Android 2.3). Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc menjadi smartphone pertama yang dirilis pabrikan ini dengan sistem operasi android 2.3 dan 1GHz cpu. Perusahaan Sony melengkapi produk terbaru dengan berbagai spesifikasi dan fitur canggih.
Desain yang ergonomis super tipis dan ringan namun tetap menciptakan kesan mewah. Plus multi-touch teknologi layar 4.2-inch mobile super-lebar dengan Sony BRAVIA Engine, yang membuatnya terlihat begitu terang dan sangat jelas. Belum lagi kamera 8.1 Megapixel yang menggunakan sensor dengan lensa Exmor R f/2.4 yang memungkinkan menangkap gambar dan video HD berkualitas tinggi dengan terang meskipun dengan pencahayaan yang rendah.
